SUMMER TRAVELS BRING FRIENDS TO OREGON SERVICE CENTER

SUMMER TRAVELS BRING FRIENDS TO OREGON SERVICE CENTER

Summer is a great time to see friends in Oregon touring, enjoying their favorite wineries, and stopping by Premier RV to look at preowned coaches or have their service and renovation projects done.
Earlier this Spring I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Tom and Maxine Harsch from the Midwest. She was getting their coach remodeled as an anniversary present and she’d been to Millie’s Draperies, Davis Cabinets, RV Glass Solutions and others before her arrival at Premier RV. She said, “I love giving my businesses to the great people in this area who have been so good to Country Coach owners over the past many many years.” I got to take a tour of the Harsch coach before they pulled out for the Black Hills of South Dakota, and my, my, my they have one beautiful home on wheels. Happy Anniversary to the Harsch’s!

Then there was Guy and Carolyn Conway, who I met first at a Country Coach Friends Incorporated rally in Harrisburg OR. WONDERFUL examples of the quality people who drive the Country Coach brand! They stopped in specifically to give me a hug and catch up on each other’s lives, and while here toured the preowned motorcoaches. Boy did they fall in love with a coach at Premier and agonized over whether to make the trade up or not. Carolyn said, “Sherry I am going to blame this on YOU if we drive away in a new motorhome. After all we just stopped by to see our friend.”  In the end I think Carolyn decided she just couldn’t give up the wonderful home on wheels they have, even for the new bells and whistles and upgrades a newer Country Coach offered.

That is the GREAT thing about the Country Coach brand and why it is still so much in demand— The inherent quality in the build process, and the wonderful ride of the DynoMax chassis with its independent front suspension system is just hard to beat. They really are still the head turners in any motorhome campground or on the road passing by.

As we draw nearer to the Fifth Annual Country Coach Friends Friendship Rally, we are seeing more and more friends here in the Premier RV Service and Sales center. Jan Gould is traveling westward, a sweet solo RVer who always makes a stop to see her friends at Premier and get things taken care of. And I’m sure many others will stop in as they head to the rally in Redmond.

It’s a favorite time of year for me, due to the great people that cross the threshold at Premier RV each day! RV living is such a great adventure, and being associated with that segment of Americans through my affiliation with Premier RV Services in Junction City, OR is a blessing unto itself.

Come see me whenever your travels bring you near Junction City, OR. Love to catch up on what YOU have been up to and where all your motorcoach travels have taken you this year. Be sure to take a look at the inventory too. It's unmatched for quality Highline preowned diesel coaches. They don't last long in inventory at Premier RV before they're back on the road being enjoyed by some of the best people on the planet--The friends I make in this Highline market!

2016 Country Coach New Allure Crane Prairie 45' nearing completion

SHOWING SOON!
COUNTRY COACH 2016 ALLURE

“The 2016 Allure is on schedule and coming along nicely. I am looking for completion by the end of June and then it is scheduled for numerous tests. I will be showing it July and August both at the factory and other venues.

The comment has been made that it is taking a long time. I would like to help you understand why. It has been approximately seven years since a Country Coach motor home has been built, many suppliers have went out of business, most components have changed. We have touched upon every print and redesigned and incorporated new technology. This will be a new Country Coach with a familiar look and feel.”

Country Coach Charge Air Cooler and Radiator Failure

GUEST POST
Technical Tidbits: Charge Air Cooler and Radiator Failure Issue
What Country Coach Motorcoach Model Years was there a potential of the Radiator / Charge Air Cooler Failure Issue to Occur?

Owners of the 2002-2007 model year Country Coach motorcoaches (also some 2000 and 2001 models) have experienced a Radiator (coolant/oil) failure issue and a Charge Air Cooler cracks causing a loss of turbo boost with accompanying loss of power/speed pulling hills.

Radiator - With the radiator failure issue, there is a likelihood of a failure occurring in the joint between the end tank and the core in the aluminum radiators installed in CCs in the 2002-2007 model year range.  The engine’s side mounted cooling fan kicks in drawing up to 45HP energy off the engine. Each time the engine reaches a certain temp the engine fan kicks on. As it is shroud mounted and bolted to the radiator core that vibration and energy from the fan is right against the tanks. It can rip apart at the faulty weld, if you have a radiator with this fault issue. A radiator replacement is the fix in this situation.

Charge Air Cooler – On a Country Coach the charge air cooler is between the radiator and the condenser and the oil cooler, all bolted together (looks like a box). Charge Air Coolers as originally installed in 2002-2007 models featured a bolt-together construction. When aluminum expands and contracts with heating and cooling, wear and tear and failure can occur. If the Charge Air Cooler is cracked and leaks, the engine runs hot, causing accelerated wear and potential engine failure.  A Service Center with knowledge of the Country Coach product lines and model year build processes will be able to help you assess whether your motorcoach may have this Radiator or Charge Air Cooler issue.

Country Coach Slide Room Leak When It Rains

JD RV SERVICES GUEST POST
Technical Tidbits: Slide Rooms Leak When It Rains?

Slide Room Leaks.

Something that has come to the attention of John Davis is the potential for a leak in some slide rooms.

On the roof of the forward slides you’ll see a trim piece that is installed where the roof of the slide meets the side walls(short walls). This trim is adhered with Sika flex, and in some coaches the metal was not treated properly prior to application.

The stress on this joint when the slide operates causes a good amount of flex and may cause the trim to come loose.

This will create a pretty good funnel for rain water to get into the walls of the slide and cause severe damage. A good inspection can save a lot of heart

A Service Center with knowledge of the Country Coach product lines will be able to help you
assess whether your motorcoach may have this potential leak issue.
